📚 Classroom Guide: Using the Interactive Word Cloud

For instructors: Use this page to guide students through how Nigerian newspapers discuss mining, labour, community issues, and environmental change over time.

• Project the visualization and model one example word (e.g. abandoned, community, coal).
• Ask what the size of the word suggests about its prominence in the archive.
• Use the timeline inside the visualization to discuss spikes, gaps, and historical context.
• Have pairs choose a different word and repeat the analysis.
